A Cluttered Hookup Site That Might Just Work
The quest for the perfect hookup site continues! We've all seen those ads: "Sign up now for the number one hookup site! No charge! No card needed! Tons of hot sluts ready to fuck in your area!" Unfortunately, they rarely live up to the hype. Fling.com, heavily advertised on popular porn tubes, claims to be the real deal, a site unabashedly dedicated to casual sex. But can Fling actually help you find a "hot fling?" Let's dive in and find out.
From the moment you land on Fling's homepage, it does appear legitimate. You're greeted with a questionnaire asking about your gender and what you're looking for, along with your birth year and email address.
Using a spam email address is highly recommended for sites like these. Having an alternative email that you use to sign up for sites that are already known for their spam emails can save you a lot of headache.
After registering, you're prompted to complete your profile with details about your desired fling, travel willingness, hookup frequency, kinkiness, and physical traits. Once you've answered these questions, you finally get access to the site.
Unfortunately, Fling's design is a major letdown. The interface is chaotic and overwhelming, with too much going on at once.
It's difficult to figure out where you should even click. There's a carousel of women at the top, along with sections for "members who stream" and "meet now in [your state]." Right above those, you'll find "who's online now" and a "who's cute" game.
Below all of that, it gets even messier, with sections for "who's viewed me," "my friends," popular member photos, popular member videos, and an ad for Cam Soda, all blending together seamlessly. The site menu bar offers options for Home, Search, Online Now, Chat, Trending Now, Live Girls, and "Upgrade Now." It's like they crammed every single feature they could think of onto a single page, with all of it being way too distracting to even know where to look.
While you might get used to the design over time, it is clear the time would be better spent finding somewhere else with a better user interface that has more focus.
Thankfully, Fling does offer robust search capabilities. You can select your sexual preference, gender, age range, country, and zip code, along with options to filter for users who are online now, video chatting, have photos, are live streaming, or have verified photos.
The advanced search feature is even more impressive, allowing you to specify eye color, hair color, body type, race, religious preferences, languages spoken, marital status, income, profession, and interests like threesomes, group sex, online flirting, in-person meetups, or relationships.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to actually use any of this without paying.
Unlocking the full potential of Fling requires upgrading to a paid membership. While you can see that you're receiving messages and profile views, you can't read or respond to them without paying.
It does appear as though there will be lots of really sexy women to chat with! You’ll just have to pay to actually talk to them or view their profiles. But again, is any of it actually real?
A subscription comes in at $6.95/month if you commit to a full year, but if you just want one month it is $34.95. As I stated before, if a site looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
Ultimately, Fling presents itself as a hookup site that requires payment for almost all features. While I try to see the best in everyone, there are a few parts of this site that do make me suspicious.
It would be wise to heed my warning and check out other sites that could be better in comparison, but if you are looking for hookups, and are willing to pay for it, then this could be a good site for you (if you're lucky).
